
The above pictured male Downy Woodpecker is common to our yard. We see both males and females through all seasons. They like the peanut butter suet that Mark places in the feeders.
Here, a Tufted Titmouse joins a female Downy for a quick nibble.
Another frequent visitor is the White-breasted Nuthatch. They are the only bird that creeps headfirst down the tree trunks. They eat suet and sunflower seeds. We have also seen the Brown-headed Nuthatches, but not as often.
