Breakfast and post production

When I awakened this morning, it was 21 degrees outside.  I didn't want to brave the frigid temperatures, but I wanted to shoot.  So here ya go.  I shot my breakfast!

I love peanut butter with honey on whole wheat for breakfast.  It's fast to make, and I feel full for several hours.  Using my "nifty-fifty" @ f1.8 allowed me to shoot this scene with natural light, but I wanted more.  I chose to use one of Rita's great textures from  http://coffeeteaphotography.blogspot.com/ .

Here is her free texture called Red Christmas Grunge

I applied the texture in overlay @ about 75% and used my eraser tool at various degrees of opacity to create the image that suited me.  I didn't write down any steps, but believe I will in the future so that I can more easily duplicate this effect again.

So, here is my final image.  Simple.
